Title: Help - zoom goes into building
Post by: blurjacobson on March 29, 2013, 08:27:40 pm
I am trying to zoom into a specific area of my model to work on it, but as I zoom in the edges of the camera begin to break into the model so that I am seeing the interior.  How do I prevent this?

What version are you using?  I have checked in v2.5 and 3+ versions and do not see this in Build Mode using move camera close to models, or using the Focal slider to zoom in.

In Movie Mode (v2, v3) there is a Near Clip Plane.  In v3 if you went from Movie Mode to Build using the button Build With Effects, then the clip plane would be active in Build Mode and you would see the clipping.  Just go from Movie to Build directly if this is the case.

It might happen if the scale of the model imported does not meet standard unit measures for Lumion (either feet or meters).

In some DCC (eg Max) you can adjust the camera clipping planes to prevent this sort of thing, but in Lumion it is set within Lumion, but is such a small value that it is very rare for objects to showing clipping of the faces.

Also, some screenshots would make it easier to figure out what's going on.
