Title: comparative quality and render time
Post by: Gilson Antunes on March 05, 2015, 01:21:25 am

I want to share the final result with a comparative quality and render time.

The first image was made using  Lumion 5.3 Hyperlight (GPU) with an approximate time of 11 seconds in a Reder GTX Titan.
The second image is Raytrace 3dsMax 2015 (CPU) with render time approximately 7 minutes Core i7 3.5GHz 32GB.

I note that Lumion is very evolving in terms of quality, in a quick look is more difficult to distinguish the difference.

There was a time when I had to generate all the still images in Ray Trace, leaving only the video to Lumion, however was a big problem because in addition to having to set up the same scene twice, I did not have the same vegetation SpeedTree for 3dsMax .

Now, fortunately I can already work with only one file for all.  :-D

I see the exercise bike handles are a bit faceted in the Lumion render.

Thanks for the comparison Gilson.  Much appreciated in creating a topic for it.

11 seconds vs 7 minutes  8) ....(somebody should be worried)

The average consumer of these images would not see a difference. That makes the 3dmax workflow ( |:() about 4000% slower.
