Title: I'm new here
Post by: IdeaImmagine on March 02, 2013, 04:24:09 pm
Hi there!

I'm new here: I just downloaded Lumion free 2.5 and registered as forum user.
How do I get access to all forum sections?

Hi IdeaImmagine, customers who buy a Lumion license get access to all forum areas, including the Commercial User forum.

Sorry... I thought it was about registering, not buying... as forum title reports "Registered users have access to more sections". :(

Hi IdeaImmagine, there are 3 forum access levels:

1) Guest (Not registered - access to 3 sections)
2) Registered user (Registered but no license - access to 8 sections)
3) Licensed user (Commercial/Educational licenses - access to 14 sections)

Thank you! So, I think I have access to registered users' level.

Is it educational license available to a student?
I'm learning to use Lumion free and so I'm reading many topics in this forum... but I'm beginning to think that most important and interesting messages are in licensed users' sections... :(

Hi IdeaImmagine, educational licenses are available to universities, schools, colleges etc.

There's more information here (http://lumion3d.com/educational/).

Lumion EDU
PRICE: €0 per seat :o

Not for commercial use... of course!
How can I get a license? I mean: I have to request it to university, to teachers, to students' representative?

Hi IdeaImmagine, Lumion Edu corresponds to the regular version of Lumion, but with a Lumion logo + 'Not for commercial use' text in the top left corner. The Lumion logo is not as intrusive as in Lumion Free.

Lumion Pro Edu corresponds to Lumion Pro and has a very small 'Not for commercial use' text in the top left corner.

Please visit this page (http://lumion3d.com/order-educational/) to find out how to order educational licenses.

That will not be a problem, as I want to learn using it, not for work.

Great! :)

Morten, can you please supply a "signed order" example?

From Lumion Educational Order page:

We need an official and signed order from your institution. This is also needed when ordering Lumion Educational Free.
Licenses will be delivered to the institutions' system administrator.
