Title: Water reflection
Post by: Proso on February 21, 2013, 05:01:47 pm
Hi,
In Lumion 2.5 there is simply no option to get the reflection of objects like boat on the water. (for stil images there is, but not for animations). Is this possible in Lumion 3?

Thanks,

Erwin

Hi proso, planar reflections can't be applied to the Water material or to the ocean in Lumion 3.

However, gonzohot did come up with an interesting workaround (http://lumion3d.com/forum/special-offers-and-promotions/reflecting-water-is-possible-see-the-tip-inside-the-post-!/) :)

Hi Xtreme-L

That's some interesting looking reflections, well the animations of the characters to be more exact, and yet they don't look like Lumion ones.

The video looks like it's Lumion, is it, what version?

I will attach a image. Yes the water can reflect and is adjustable with the sliders and materials used.

Which means resources provided by paying users are in an area of the forum for those users, so would it be fair to provide others with it?  Of course if a user wishes to make a new topic in guest section then that's fine also.

Actually it's not that hard to do, just think about reflections and objects.
