Title: lightmap
Post by: GJWEGNER on March 11, 2011, 07:20:30 pm
I seem to having some problems with the lightmap material in the Updated Demo. The "lightmap multiply" turns my model black as I increase the slider value. The two map slots are labled "Diffuse Texture" and "Bump Texture." I assume that I apply my lightmap to the "Bump Texture"...? It's not a UV problem as they import just fine. Any ideas?

In Lumion only the diffuse- and bump-map are visible in the lightmap-material, thats a little bit confusing. The Lightmap is not displayed - but in use (if you have properly setted up your material in the software you use for texturing).

If you use 3dsmax for texturing, the following steps should help:
Create a standard material. Only standard materials will work well, i think.
Assign your diffusemap to diffuse-color slot, using mapping-channel 1.
Bake the lightmap using mapping-channel 2 and apply it to the self-illumination mapslot.

Additionally, if you want to use a bumpmap, apply on bump-slot using mapping-channel 1.

Hope this helps.
