Title: A suggestion to Lumion dev's
Post by: imbaqq on February 04, 2013, 01:40:22 am
Greetings,

it wouldn't be a bad idea to actually link some renderings to the recommended hardware under Lumion system requirements, so people can easily understand what you mean under medium complex model and an actual complex model. There are just so many different GPUs available out there today and for people with tight budget who also work with different software, getting the best available is not always an option. Sometimes they have to wage between a top CPU vs less powerful one in favor of faster gpu and more RAM etc. So, to make things a bit more clear to any potential customers, a simple render of a model that corresponds to the specific complex category would be sufficent. Also, a question: would a GTX 285 would be good enough for Lumion 3 regarding rendering of interior with lighting, and exterior up to 10 building models not more complex than a elementary school each?

Next Lumion version will have a built-in benchmark tool.

By the way, this info + passmark is a decent guideline for suitable hardware.
