I followed the instructions that you gave me in the e-mail but i cannot connect with the license system. what should i do now?

Is it necessary to have sentinel license server been installed or not?

Yes you need to install the Sentinel Protection Installer (since you also need it when you use the dongle).

Make also sure that your firewall does not block outgoing traffic over port 7001 (at least to trial.lumion3d.com).
In some rare occasions people connect to our site over a proxy server with a different IP address than their normal router. In that case you also experience difficulties. Contact support when this is the case, we can usually make some configuration changes in our license server for you.

when I try to connect to the licence server I get the error "Encouter a socket operation error". Is this something I need to resolve?

It means that the sentinel software could not open a TCP/IP connection. This can be because of security software that blocks TCP/IP connections or because of a problem in your windows installation (which I doubt is the case). I recommend that you check your firewall software if this is the case.

I am having this issue now. It was OK yesterday and early this morning but I get the message "cannot connect with the license system" now. I logged into the Forum as suggested in the FAQ but that has not helped too. Kindly assist.

More have this problem now?

 

We are sending out the licenses to everyone already of course so soon this should not be needed for you.

It happens here as well, as of today actually. Yesterday and Wednesday everything was working.

I am having the same issue.  Is the server down on your end? I just installed today, so I can not compare to yesterday if it was working then.

Looks to be working here.

 

I dont know after you login/use the forum, you need to wait a few minutes before the possible new IP becomes active.

Most probably your IP address has changed. Log-in, wait a couple of minutes and try again.

Hey folks I havve to work on lumion scene and can t open lumion. It tajkes very long to start and then I got the message that he can t connect to license system! I chnged nothing on the settings, it is still the same setting as you mailed me, because I still don t have the dongle. Is the server down, or what? What shall I do now? Can t work on my model, so time is running out for me!

Is it wrong that I am using the trial adress? Worked liked that for the last days. I did not get any special code or so.

Please somone help me, it is very urgent! I worked on my lumion project on friday, there I could start my full version of lumion without any problems.  Now I am trying to open Lumion again (the first time today) and suddenly the software says that it can not connect to the server.

I logged out from the server, logged in again, waited for 10 minutes and then it was possible to start Lumion! Thx to the telephone support.  It seems like the server has problems getting the actual ip adress.

The server does not (yet) renew your IP address when you use automatic log-in through your browser.Your IP address may change when your internet session is renewed or when you use Lumion form another location. In that case log out and log in again.

when I installed Lumion and open it...
