Hi Sandipan

Can you be more specific about the details of the graphics card.  The XFX produces a range of product for the ATI Radeon, ie is it a HD5450, HD5550, HD5570, HD5650, HD5670, HD5770, HD5850, HD5870, and HD5970?

Also, what version of Lumion are you using?

I am trying to buy a new desktop computer but i really not sure what kind. i found one online and thinking of getting it. But before i want to make sure Lumion and 3DS max will work with no problem on that desktop.
Please let me know if these system specifications are OK if i wanna work with lumion and 3ds max.
Thank You

Hi Fareed, we can't predict whether your PC configuration will work well with Lumion and 3DS Max as it depends on a lot of factors, including the CPU (which can act as a bottleneck on the GPU if it is not fast enough), system RAM speed, PCI 2.0 or 3.0 support on your motherboard, the power supply and so on. It also depends on how complex your Lumion scenes are and how many high-resolution textures you use.

However, I can say for sure that I am not sure I would pick the GTX 970 anymore after Nvidia recently revealed ( that if you exceed 3.5GB memory usage, performance drops significantly.

In any case, I would recommend reading the hardware requirements post (, and visit the PassMark benchmark list page to pick a suitable graphics card.
