Title: Material Brightness
Post by: jultrep on November 08, 2014, 04:42:33 pm
Hi,

I just try the new Lumion 5.0 EDU pro, really great job guys. It a little bit more difficult with the material panel, I think it’s less instinctive than the old one.

The thing is, I couldn’t find the brightness level bar of the texture or material I’m mapping. Is this function still available?

Regards

Hi jultrep, brightening and darkening materials is explained in the section called 'Standard material properties' in the Tips & Tricks post (http://forum.lumion3d.com/drafts-copy-paste-posts-etc/lumion-5-tips-tricks), in particular the information on the Colorization and Emissive sliders.

Hi Thanks for your reply,

Those functions are great but not usefull as the brightness bar of 4.5. Per example when we want a darker wood essence without tint it and keep the wood contrast and detail.

in my opinion.

Hi jultrep, as far as I can tell, the darkening function via the 0 to 0.5 range in the Colorization slider looks the same as the Brightness slider in 4.5.1? It's just a different way to use the sliders.

If I am misunderstanding you, please post some comparison screenshots.
