Title: Smooth speed camera path
Post by: Simoni on December 07, 2012, 03:41:37 pm
I am trying to make a long continuous camera movement sweeping through the fab 3d clouds and down into a landscape, along a golf course then to a specific room. Is it possible to do it so that I can vary the speed between the key frames later? If I do it as seperate clips lumion starts and ends each clip with a stationary camera position.

Hi Simon, Lumion automatically changes the timing of the camera keyframes based on the distance between each keyframe but I don't know what the formula is.

There are essentially 3 ways to change the speed:

1) By adding/removing camera keyframes.
2) By adjusting the distance between each camera keyframe.
3) By adjusting the clip speed:

.. If I do it as seperate clips lumion starts and ends each clip with a stationary camera position.

For separate clips you could also go back and edit each subsequent clip to alter the first camera position forward and re take the photo so that the first and last are different, resulting in camera movement between clips.
