Title: Blinking/changing Material needed
Post by: ToFi on August 30, 2012, 03:24:31 pm
Hi,
I need some tipps.
OK - how do I manage it that a material changes it´s color in Lumion every x seconds? Let´s say from black to white and so on.  Is there a solution inside Lumion or in the external construction program?

Hi ToFi, you can't animate materials in Lumion, so a gradual transition from black to white is unfortunately not possible.

If an instantaneous transition is acceptable, you'd have to place a black and a white version of the surface on separate layers and animate them using the Show/Hide Layers effects in the Movie section.

Cool. Try it out tomorrow.
I like workarounds.

you can render two videos each with one of the materials and compose them later to get your interval change ...
