Title: copying clips/cameras across scenes ?
Post by: cryptonx on August 09, 2012, 11:46:24 am
Hello,

I am having a small issue which I thought should be turned into a suggestion.
I was working on a project, made a few clips and saved them, however there were another direction the project was going to, so I saved the project as another name and removed the clips and started adding more and more stuff to it until it reached a state where the client is satisfied.

Sadly I made a lot of really good camera paths and clips in the PREVIOUS version of the Scene, That would take hours to recreate especially when the FPS is less smoother now with all the objects added, I know I can copy a CLIP EFFECT, But Can I copy the whole clip ? the Camera movement path to another project ?

That would really really be wonderful, even if I could save it like to a LUMION CLIP FILE or something then import it again in the other project.

Any thoughts ?

You're right, it is not possible to copy a camera animation (or even an entire clip) and paste it into a different clip - thanks for the suggestion, cryptonx.

Most welcome and thanks for the fast reply, I hope it would be useful as a feature for other users as well later on.

also I wanted to suggested animated sitting people but I've seen that it was suggested a few times already, I used STILL custom people for now as a workaround :).

Thanks again.

(Animated sitting people have indeed been suggested before)
