Title: terrain edges in detail - any idea?
Post by: Zdenek Fajfrlik on July 21, 2012, 10:31:50 am
hi,
as you can see in the two pictures attached, in the detail-scale the terrain-edges are rather "sharp".
is there a way to "smooth" them for the rendering without "flattening"?
in the editor it's no problem, of course. only the output needs an improvement.

or is there a function for this, i did not find yet?
thanx stan

Can you highlight the areas on your screenshots please?

of course,
from a certain distance these edges become "sharp and straightlined", though modelled with the terrain function as rather smooth

I see what you mean.

No, you can't fix this problem - the default terrain mesh in Lumion is not subdivided enough.

You could import your own terrain mesh of course, and apply a Landscape material...
