And here I was planning to purchase a 'normal' GTX580 over this very weekend. Phew Laugh

Hope this'll be available at resellers soon.

Thanks Ferry!

It would be a great kit for Vray Rt and , wouldn't it? because it has 3gb ddr, alternative solution to those highly priced quadro fx series cards, but shame i don't have 3 video card slots for this monster.

Cubix was once recommened expand external render hub for Octane render. But now something behind made them separate. Fault rates or something.

Some other things should consider are gtx480 is too hot, too lould and nvidia cuda 3.0 compatibility.

Hope gtx580 3GB will ease the pain

Thats dissapointing. I would have hoped they'd not take full advantage of the hype this thing is creating. Obviously they reckoned 'why the hell not'.

i prefer to use 2*SLI and 3-way-SLI graphic cards mode.

+ low cost,

+ more powerfull,

- but more energy needed.

and happy with my:

Develope team said Lumion not taking much advantage over SLI cards. What you get only some extra frame on your screen.

Funny why they not codding for working with SLI power. Whatever I'm still stay with Nvidia for Octane and Vray.

@Aaron: Thanks for those links man

Now this is what I call a monster :

imagine 2 of them in sli configuration :)

 Jacek Kwiatkowski

and what price it will be? no need in that configuration as for me – it's better to have powerfull gamecard to Lumion – because it's more game engine-based then a CAD programm.

and yep – Lumion didn't take all advantages of SLI/Crossfire configurations – and that's too sad

Another beast comes in this Feb. GTX590 with two 580s cores inside and with 3GB ram. But this make me wonder willl rendering program take only half ram like other 2 cores vcards. This card will take much power juice of your PSU.

It is not that we disabled SLI ussage or something similar. We will have to do more tests why the performance difference is low. Maybe a directx 11 version of Lumion might speed it up but that is all guess work.

hello,
i'm back !
My scene in blender count 432000 faces (I thought my model was bigger).
In the interface lumion get 39 Frame per second.
I render a video in Hi quality in HD.
And Lumion render around 3.5 Seconds per Frame . Don't know if it's good  ???

Does someone know if it is a good time ?

Rendertimes per frame based on polycount  alone are very arbitrary but the specs you give sound fine  ;)
