Just tried the free demo version and it looks great!
I'm also trying to import an autodesk DXF file "designed in Chief Architect Home designer pro 2012" - and can't seem to do it .
Does this require the full version or am I missing something?
If it does require the full version how can I get a trial to confirm it is what I'm looking for which is a superfast rendering and walkthrough program the quality of output of which is close to the raytrace engine Chief Architect's full version has but with far far less waiting time?
Regards

Hi Old_Timer, importing works the same way in Lumion FREE 2.5 and in Lumion PRO 2.5.
However, we do not officially support models from Chief Architect, but there are a couple of threads, both here in Lumion forum as well as in the Chief Architect forum with tips on the best practices in terms of file formats and export settings:

Thanks Morten,
I had a brief look at those links and it seems like a bit of a mission.
Will Lumion support CA one day or what other architectural design program would you recommend?
Cheers
Greg

Will Lumion support CA one day
Hi Greg, we're not actively working on supporting Chief Architect at the moment as we need to prioritise applications that have a wider user base, at least in the short term. I hope the developers of Chief Architect will consider implementing FBX and/or DAE (Collada) export functionality though - that would make it possible to export models directly to Lumion.
what other architectural design program would you recommend?
Lumion currently plays well with SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD and 3DS Max.
