Post by: thierry tutin on June 14, 2012, 08:06:59 pm
I have body characters with bip files animations in 3dsmax
my settings in time configuration:
Frame Rate:Pal
Time display: Frames
Playback: real Time + Active new port only & loop activated
i've set Animation settings & frames
Key Steps: Use trackbar activated
i've exported in fbx with Autodesk Media & Entertainment settings
import in Lumion with animations activated
but i don't have body characters animated
Any idea or solution

Hi sodapop66, you can't import bone animations or vertex animations in Lumion, so it is not possible render character animations in Lumion. What you can do is to import move/rotate/scale animations from 3DS Max via FBX.

A few creative individuals here in the forum have converted the individual bodyparts of characters to separate surfaces that are then animated using move/rotate/scale animations, but it's a lot of work and will never look as good as proper bone animated characters.

I also agree with the ability to insert animations of bones from other programs, but I think before that would be far more advanced animation set the current Lumion this program and have their own animation heramientas.

Morten took the opportunity to claim:
A. - Tools and smaller brushes for terrain modeling. trees.
2. - Trees typical in Spain (pine, fig and other fruit trees like pears).
3. - Paths to clarify camera shots.
4. - A system that allows more and better input materials themselves.

Thank you very much. I am very happy with the results of Lumion Pro

regards
