Title: Is it possible to "hide" a section cut

I tried moving the section cut object to it's own layer and disabled the layer visibility, but the cut remains visible.  Any way to enable/disable the section without deleting or moving it?

Do you mean for a real-time presentation or for a video?

It would be nice to hide it in both.  In build mode, I wouldn't have to fiddle with placement if I could just turn it off/on.  In movie mode, I wouldn't have to animate the effect.  A switch which could be keyframed would be perfect or the ability to have it affected by a layer's visibility would also work.
