hi,
i´ve seen a youtube vid created in lumion, where a sci-fi airship had an active jet engine.
i wonder if the fire effect was created by editting of flames based in lumion, or was the animation just imported?
thanks

Both are possible.
Iirc this particular example just used a default fire emitter set to narrow to simulate a jet-engine.Downside of this is you can't animate emitters so there is no way to have them stay attached to anything when it's on the move (or fly ;-)) Which brings us to option nr2:
Model something basic that looks like a jetengineflame, copy it a couple of times and animate
the lot with a noise controller or anything of your liking. Export it together with your fly-thingy and assign a overbright(read glow/emissive) colorvalue to it. This actually works quite good. Did this a while back and the results were fine. Hope this helped.
