Title: Dose Lumion Support Quadro cards?
Post by: Xman on March 29, 2012, 03:35:47 am
Hello All,

I'm going to buy an HP Z600 workstation for Lumion. And the workstation can only be sold with Quadro cards. So I want to know which card of Quadro can run Lumion smoothly. Thanks!

FAQ hardware requirements (http://lumion3d.com/forum/f-a-q/lumion-2-minimum-hardware-requirements/).

Quadros are for Cad, not realtime 3D, use GeForce cards.

i  own a quadro 4000, works fine, but i wonder if i could add a GTX 580 to let Lumion work with it and my quadro 4000 for AutoCAd and OS, anyone knows, my computer shop says no because i can't mix a quadro with other card...don't know if i'm clear.

Anyone knows

The new 680 is out shortly, 1500 cuda cores verses 580's 500 ish. get as much ram as possible.
My dell laptop uses an Nvidia card and an onboard intel gpu there is a utility which enable you to choose which one you use on which aplication, so don't give up there might be a way to use each type of card.
