Title: Night Rendering
Post by: billy007nh on March 07, 2012, 09:20:45 pm
Here is my Night Rendering that was my first for night view.  Would be nice to be able to add some sky entourage like moon and shooting stars like streaks....I think I will add them in Photoshop but I like to do as little as I need to in other programs.

Looks good.

How did you place do the lights on the cars? Lumion lights, or PS?

I did Lumion Lights.  The one with red color and head lights just plain white.  Easier for me to do as much in Lumion than Photoshop.

Cool. But how would this be done in an animation?

Only if you could lock the lights to the back of the car.  Not sure that is possible in this program.  Would be like adding a person in the front seat of the car and animate the car to move and turn you would have to do that to the lights.

Yes, it's not really practical to animate multiple objects at the same time without a proper Group function (and if that takes a long time to implement, then a simple CTRL + Rectangular selection function ought to be added to the Advanced Animation effect, so that you at least can select and animate more than one object at a time).

I hope the developers will look into this at some stage.

Last couple things I would like to do is have the ablity to do is SITE stuff like painting lines, cross walk, parking stalls just doing those in Another program takes way too much time.  I love your program and being able to group objects together would be great.  My number #1 things is not being able to organize my own most used library objects because 99% of our project are in New England USA area.

Did you use the omni light for the red taillights? How did you get the material on the car where the taillight is to glow red?

Yes the tail light was a red omni light.  The tail light material itself was a image of a real red tail light then just added the omni just behind it to make the back of the car glow too.  Now I could add the lights to the group and make it move with the car it make a movie but back then wasn't possible without moving many lights to every key.

Thanks
