Title: Daz 3D Free until end of the month
Post by: thecravatman on February 03, 2012, 06:29:58 pm
Take a look at this http://www.daz3d.com (http://www.daz3d.com)
Good software free now that does seem like good value, I believe its because they make all their money from content, does anyone know if there are limitations on exporting.
A number of threads highlight problems importing Daz poses into Lumion has anyone had success with them?

From what I've seen Genesis is amazing, good bye Poser.

Certainly worthy of close look.  In the past I have found it not suiting my needs totally, but if you can have flexilbity for importing esp.  FXB format for animation imports, it could be a winner in conjunction with using Lumion!

Many thanks for the post.

I have had a lot of fun with it in the past...never able to get a handle on what it was for except maybe for hobby. The models are amazing. The modeler itself has always been free. Seems to be a trade in the models but unless you go looking you won't find any modelers....anybody here using it in their work flow? I did once upon a time...It was an early adopter of game-engine like terrain environments. So it was a handy tool to get your models in to a scene quickly...the attachment is a boathouse I used it for 4 years ago.

Not to confuse things. ::)..but it is the Bryce component that I am referring to.

Hi cravatman & others,

I could never understand why Bryce did not take off. It was/is a good application, however - compared with Lumion, it would be hard to turn back the clock now.

Nice image BTW, thanks for sharing.
