Title: Graphic card and quality
Post by: jorgensen on January 24, 2012, 07:13:39 am
Hi
I wonder if the quality of the graphic card affects the quality of exported images, like texture sharpness, or does it only effect the onscreen speed?

Thanks

There may be minor cosmetic differences depending on the graphics card brand, eg, AMD vs Nvidia, but I've never heard any reports about this (I use an AMD card myself).

Nvidia Quadro and AMD FirePro cards which are used for CAD applications use different drivers than consumer graphics cards, so in theory they may also produce slightly different images. As you can see on the Lumion specifications page, we don't recommend using Nvidia Quadro and AMD FirePro cards with Lumion though, since they are known to produce other artifacts, but some cards are more reliable than others.
