Title: [Answered] HOW ARE LUMION MODEL FILES SAVED?
Post by: courtney.ragon on September 28, 2018, 08:53:16 pm
I am a user of Lumion 5.  I know that if I go to (C:) Drive - Documents - Lumion 5 that there are backup folders for Scenes, Library, Misc.  However, there are no .ls5 files types saved here.

How does Lumion 5 backup the actual .ls5 files?  Does it auto save them somewhere to the hard drive?  Is it all internet based?  Is it saved in the cloud?

If a past coworker of mine never exported a .ls5 file and saved it to our network...is there any way I can recover a model by accessing his hard drive?  He is no longer with the company and his user profile has been deactivated.

Welcome, Courtney.

Lumion 5 does not save back-ups of .LS5 Scene files.

You need to open Lumion 5 on the computer your former colleague was using.

Then click on the 'Load Scene and Models' tab to load one of the Scenes you're interested in and save it via the 'Save Scene and Models' tab.

You can then transfer the .LS5 file to other computers.

Does this answer your question?
