Title: [Resolved] How to copy objects?
Post by: Nico RVArq.com on December 13, 2010, 11:12:36 am
Hi, I didn´t find the copy paste tool, and I hope that in "Lumion devblog 20.000 birds" you didn´t click 20 thousand times the bird, or isn´t?? Jeje

Thanks.

It seems to me that there is unnecessary tool copy paste you choose a bird and click on 20.000 thousand times. Although I doubt you might need as many birds in a scene.

ALT + Drag is copy paste.

So paint 20 birds randomly ALT + DRAG gives you 40 etc this will get you 20.000 birds. Note that you should only do this with the smallest bird else you go out of memory.

Is there a way to copy this objects but aligned?

I've tried with some cars using the alt+drag tool, but I can't seem to align them

Thanks a lot :)

Hi piper76

Two options:
1. Select the objects and then use the Context Menu -> Transform -> Align.
2. Place objects aligned using the Mass Placement Tool.

And, if you have some objects aligned, you can then use the Alt + Move copy keyboard shortcut to copy  to new sets of aligned objects.
