Title: opening a Lumion Free project in Lumion Basic
Post by: cannon design on November 01, 2011, 09:36:53 pm
I am having an issue when I try to open a project I created in Lumion Free about two months ago.  I used the free version to create the project, and have since purchased Lumion Basic.  I went into the Lumion Free folder under my documents, copied both the Library and Scenes folder and pasted them into my Lumion folder in My Documents.  When I open up Lumion Basic and I go to load projects there are no thumbnails.  I see the titles of the project when I hover over the blank thumbnails and when I click on one to try and open it I get an error message saying Lumion has stopped working windows is looking for a solution, then it crashes.

This is intentional, so that a company can't use say, 10 Lumion Free licenses to prepare projects in and then render them in Lumion Basic/Ultimate.

Please email info [at] act-3d.com if it's a project you really really need to render in Lumion Basic.
