Title: Mixed use development movie
Post by: wdgdallas on November 01, 2011, 02:48:09 am
Hi all, below is a link to my first Lumion movie.  Its an actual project we are currently designing.  Lumion has really fit into my design studio workflow very well.  I love that hardware accelerated rendering is now finally practical.

Amazing!!!  This is hands down the best Lumion video I have ever seen!  Congrats.  How did you get the buildings to show interior lighting?!?  Fantastic job!

The night scene look is created by replacing Sketchup glazing material with Lumion textured standard material with a high emmittence property.  Then I added a shadow color and bloom control to animation set.

But I found an even better way last night...  If you create a series of textured boxes with high emmittence showing interior scenes you can still keep the standard Lumion glazing and it looks even better.  I'll post some examples later.

Until we get some point lights in the engine, we need to do night scenes this way I think.
