Derva,

I am far not a computer expert but it seems that only your graphic card is a show stopper here. As far as I have read on these forums, Lumion does not make any use of the Quadro cards but some (more serious) gaming card would be better. like the nvidia 500 series (580 being mentioned as one of the best and fastest in this field).

I guess you do not only want to run Lumion on it. What modelling program do you use? (Take that also into account.)

Anyway, for that much money, you can buy a very powerful machine. But as I said, I am not a computer expert so I would not like to suggest anything that involves $ 5,000! :o

As Gaieus says your graphics card is the real bottleneck:
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Quadro+600 (http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Quadro+600)

You really only need a faster card, and if you want to render really large projects you might want to consider buying some more system RAM.

P.S. Even the fastest Alienware PC "only" costs £1,899, so you would not need to spend $5k unless you wanted gold-plated components ;)

If you want to be absolutely sure about the performance you can expect, it might be worth asking someone with a similar PC configuration to test your scene before you buy that PC. There are quite a few users with GTX 580 cards and 12gb+ ram here in the forum...
