Title: [Resolved] Lumion 7.5 Trial Version

I am trying to install the 7.5 trial version, but keep getting an "access is denied" error at the end. Help?

Hi stkman87, welcome.

That error message usually means that security software on your computer isn't letting the Lumion installer complete the installation.

To resolve the problem, you should temporarily disable your internet connection and your anti-virus software. Then immediately enable Windows Defender, right-click on the Lumion installer executable file (.exe) and select 'Run as administrator'.

Does this resolve the problem?

(When you're done with this test, please enable your own anti-virus software again)

Thanks for the reply--that did the trick!

As an aside--the pricetag for Lumion is a pretty hefty pricetag for a single person design firm. Is Lumion considering going to a subscription model like so many other software providers?

Thanks for your fedback on subscription-based payments.

There are currently no plans to make that available, but we'll let you know if that were to change.

What most single person firms tend to do is to start off with the cheapest version, i.e. Lumion, and if things take off from a revenue perspective, they might then upgrade to Lumion Pro further down the line.
