Title: [Resolved] Bump maps.
Post by: janhorton on May 31, 2017, 06:06:10 pm
I was wondering if the textures in Lumion already have bump maps attached to them? or is that something I would need to find and add myself?

Hi Jan, Lumion uses Normal Maps (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normal_mapping), not Bump maps.

The materials in the built-in Material Library in Lumion already include Normal Maps. You can adjust the strength by changing the Relief slider value.

If you add your own texture to the Color Map slot in a Standard material a Normal Map is automatically created for you.

There's more information in these articles:
