Hiii
I am working currently on rendering a Revit model in Lumion... The problem is that not all my objects are well grouped, for example I am having columns and some parts of the door in the same group.
How can I texture each object a part..there must be some kind of trick I wish :) :) :)
Thank you in advance.

Hi Manal, which product name and version number are using, e.g. Lumion Pro 6.0? (This information is displayed on the Settings screen in Lumion)
-
Hii
I am using Lumion Demo 5.3 :) :)

Thanks for the information, Manal.
For performance reasons, Lumion combines all surfaces of a model that share the same material when you import your model.
So to make it possible to assign separate materials to the doors and the columns, you need to assign two unique materials to those object categories in Revit before (re-)importing your model.

Hi Morten,
Thank you :-D
That will need pretty much time..
As I have used default material to the walls...
So there is nothing that enables me to texture object separately right??

Correct, it's not possible to separate combined surfaces in Lumion, so it has to be done in Revit via material assignment.

Thank you Morten :)

My Advice is to export the revit model to Google Sketchup ( I don't know if it is possible wit Revit, with Archicad it is)
From there you can easly adjust new materials, if you use the 'reload' button in Lumion.
*Note: Make sure You use the right version of Google Sketchup For Lumion Demo 5.3

Export your model as IFC into Sketchup 2016 (it's not Google for 3 years... it's Trimble now)
Save your file in Sketchup as version 2015 or lower and import that into Lumion.
Have fun!

I's possible in Artlantis Studio and it's a very cool feature ! I hope it will possible to do that in lumion 7.x
