Title: Halamuwa waterfall
Post by: Jon Sun on June 19, 2011, 01:29:01 pm
Halamuwa waterfall ,a lost place in somewhere.

This is a story about water world. In 2018,you can not find  any water all over the world.

Some day a picture comes in my dream, yes, it is clear. Far far away,in another planet,

there still left a water world. Haha ,that is Halamuwa waterfall  i created in lumion
in 2011,

and it was activated online by someone one minute just now.

It is Halamuwa waterfall.

Just enjoy!

3 Minutes Video is coming soon!

Wow!! that's looking awesome.

So the whole scene is built in Lumion? I'd would love to see how it was done, maybe a tutorial some day if you get a moment.

Thanks for sharing.

This image makes me think of the film Sanctum  (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0881320/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0881320/)) haha.

I just want to ask. How can you make the cave inside Lumion and does the waterfall is only for ultimate version?

Hi,9fly thanks.

The first question “How can you make the cave inside Lumion”

You can easy do it with heightmap to make a big cave inside. For more details, please PM me.

The second question “does the waterfall is only for ultimate version?

You can also do it with  basic version +  waterfall plugin.

Thanks.

Hi Jon Sun,

Thank you for your reply. I don't know much about terrain map limitation (total height, depth = 256m?) or does it only limit square 2km for the size of this map?

Hi.9fly

1.You can make heightmap as a 16bit or 32bit, it is 0-255. Any size you can use,512X512 or 1024x1024.
I often use 4096 size to draw details, and save as 512x512. Lumion make the same terrain.

2. It is no limit to the square,do as you like. But too big square will be slow to show on the screen.
Better do it based on the camera required.

You got it. Thanks.

Hi Jon Sun,

Thank you for your reply. So as I remember Lumion transfer 1 pixel to 1 meter. So your map only 512x512 means 512x512 meters. And what do you mean by Lumion take the same terrain, what about the height based on 32bit map?

What can I do to make my realistic terrain in case I have (1) Terrain data from a cad file; (2) map from Googlemap or image maps;

Thank you in advance. Have a good day.

Hi 9fly

You can do terrain by Lumion  based on 32bit height map,but not too big  full of  the picture.

Just resize it inside the center. That will give you  a good look terrain.

MakING  my realistic terrain , YES,

(1) Terrain data from a cad file  OR  DEM data

(2) map from Googlemap or image maps;

Thanks.
