Title: can't access selection with a layer?
Post by: mrdcon on April 09, 2016, 04:54:02 pm
Working with Lumion demo and I can't select an model that I imported. I assigned it to a layer, but when I try to select the object, it says "selection is inside layer". How do I access that object?

I've doubled clicked on the layer, but nothing.

Hi mrdcon, I might be misunderstanding what you're trying to do, but you can't select objects by double-clicking on any of the Layer user interface elements. You can add and remove objects to a Layer, and show & hide that Layer. There's more information about the Layer functionality in this Knowledge Base article (https://support.lumion.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003454674-How-do-Layers-work-).

Please also see the "Selecting, copying & moving" section in this Knowledge Base article (https://support.lumion.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003475173-Is-there-a-list-of-all-the-keyboard-shortcuts-in-Lumion-8-;) to see how selecting/deselecting works.
