Title: Error (object MOVE) - LANDSCAPE TOOL
Post by: clayton3d on February 11, 2014, 02:06:34 pm
Hi, I was working in a model in LUMION 4.0.1 and when I started to use the  LANDSCAPE TOOL to change the level of the terrain around my model, some of the objects like trees and lamps, were moved and aligned at the top of the screen.

Hi clayton3d, this is just a routine check as you do not seem to have any Lumion 4.0.1
license(s) attached to your forum account.

It may simply be that you have not yet updated your Account settings for the forum and entered your license key details.  Please arrange to do so as soon as possible.

If you have a license or are working for a company with a valid license, I'd be grateful if you could forward the license and/or the company name/email address to peterm [at] act-3d.com so we can follow-up as needed.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot, Clayton.

The license number is available in the email that you received when you purchased Lumion.

The license number is also next to the Activation Code that you receive via email every time there is a new update of Lumion.

Once you have located your license number, please go to your Account settings (http://lumion3d.com/credits/Userboard/UserProfile.aspx) and add the license number. You will then gain access to the commercial sections of the forum where we provide faster support.

Speaking of updates, I would recommend that you download and install the latest version (4.0.3), as there are some improvements and error fixes in this version.

Hi, I was working in a model in LUMION 4.0.1 and when I started to use the  LANDSCAPE TOOL to change the level of the terrain around my model, some of the objects like trees and lamps, were moved and aligned at the top of the screen.

Unfortunately, it is now too late to reverse this change.

What happens is that objects that are not 'locked' will move if you adjust the terrain height. This is intentional, so that plants and other objects follow the contours of the landscape.

The best way to avoid this is to press CTRL while dragging a rectangle around all of the objects you want to stop moving. Then click on Context menu -> Transformation -> Lock Position-> On.
