Title: Lumion Forum Login Error
Post by: The Mendicant Architect on February 05, 2014, 08:59:23 am
I have a client that is able to login to his program, but is unable to login to the Lumion forum at all.  I am posting this question on his behalf.

When he logs in, it seems to accept his user name and password, but it still says he is not logged in. He has tried using several browsers and gets the same result.

I see in earlier posts that using the @ symbol in your user name was once an issue.
1.  Is this still an issue (Using the @ symbol in your user name)?
2. Are there other issues that would cause this login glitch?

Hi The Mendicant Architect,

Thank you for your report.

1) Your client's browser is most likely blocking cookies.
Could you ask your client to install a different browser (FireFix, Chrome etc) and try to log in again?

2) Also, @ in usernames is supposedly not working, so please ask your client to forward his existing username and the desired new username to arthur [at] act-3d.com along with a link to this page, so it can be fixed.

Great.

He had already tried 3 different browsers to no avail, but he does have an @ symbol in his username, so I will post that now to Arthur.  Will this change his login into Lumion as well as into the forum? He won't have to reinstall anything correct?

Correct on both counts, although it's best to copy-paste the Lumion 2.x license number into the login field in Lumion. Using the forum name is possible if the client has only 1 license registered under that forum account name.
