Title: compatibility with Lenovo quad core laptop
Post by: madmax2000 on December 03, 2010, 08:43:01 am
Hi guys, just wanted to congratulate you on the program you designed, its awesome....

I am actually trying out the demo version in my recently bought Lenovo W700 quadcore laptop that has the following specs

IntelCore TM2 Extreme CPU 9300 @ 2.53 GHZ

8GB RAM

64 bit Windows Vista

Nvidia Quadro FX 3700 (CUDA cores 128)

this is from their website "The Quadro® FX 3700M high-end mobile workstation graphics solution
with its revolutionary unified architecture, delivers 1 GB memory,
excellent image quality, and optimized visual computing application
performance pushing the limits of a 17" mobile workstation. The
reference standard for OpenGL 2.1, DirectX 10, and Shader Model 4.0,
Quadro FX 3700M enables next generation applications with new levels of
interactivity to meet the demands of CAD engineers, graphics designers,
and other technical design professionals."

I've been using Lumion and it is fairly stable, but just sometimes the display driver gets reinitiated .....or something like that....is this common?Should I configure my card in some specific way?

Thanks and congrats again

Max

Well 1 GB of memory should be enough. So only if you load huge models can you get the re-init. We have seen the re-init only on graphics cards that go out of memory. Though updating your driver is never a bad idea. You can try the low memory mode in the settings menu to try. Hope this helps!
