Title: lumion grass
Post by: dmedraft on July 28, 2015, 10:29:18 pm
Is there a way to block the grass from growing on my driveway?

Thanks,
Dean

Hi Dean

Are you now using a licensed version of Lumion?

We'd appreciate it if you would add your Lumion 5 license key to your forum Account (click here (http://forum.lumion3d.com//profile/?area=account), scroll to the bottom and enter your license number).  Thanks in advance.

Hi Dean

Great, thanks for registering your license.  :)  You now get access also to the Commercial Section of the forum, and a few other benefits.

 :D V&B beat me to it.  :-D

Is the grass area on the right hand side Lumion Terrain, or is it a surface of the model?

If it's Lumion Terrain, you have the option to add a further surface in your model, Reload and then apply the Landscape Material to the grass area surfaces (right hand side and other).  This will 'grow' the grass from the Lumion Terrain on to your models surface, and keep those parts of your model not Landscape Materials clean of grass.

Because it's also a grass height issue, you will need to do one of the following.

Ways to handle as a grass height issue:
1. Most common; move all objects up a bit so that the driveway is above the grass height.
2. Lower (Push) the area for the driveways and other.  This is not completely accurate as the brush is a circle and near edges of shapes the grass can still show through or the terrain for the grass will be pushed down.
3. Lower the 3D Grass Height a bit.
