Title: Monitor Recommendations
Post by: Ken on July 19, 2015, 06:29:42 am
Anyone have a recommendation for a 27" monitor for Lumion, Sketchup, and Photoshop? I have been looking
at the Dell U2713H and the LG 27MB85Z. Both are 2560 x 1440 monitors.

I have very good experience with the Dell Monitor you've mentioned. Have multiple off those on my desk and have no problems with them. No dead pixels or bleeding back-light. Contrast is super!
Because there are no speakers within the monitor you can buy the special add-on speakers from Dell. They are at low cost and good quality.
Keep an eye at the pixel-warranty. Some stores don't give any, some for a year. I bought extra pixel warranty...
Check Tweakers for more information.

btw, there is also the U2713HM version!

Hi V&B,
Thanks for the reply. It's interesting that the Dell U2713H and HM keep coming up on posts in different forums and almost no one is talking about the LG 27MB85Z or R. When anyone does they speak highly of it.

In regards the the Dell U2713H that you have, many people like it as do people who by the HM, though I hear a lot of quality control issues with the HM. The H has Adobe RGB color which I was thinking was important, but on more thought, if the movie output is going to be seen on monitors that most people have, the subtly may be lost. So it really comes down to the quality control issues, without bringing cost into the equation. It's good to hear that
you are liking the U2713H.

It would be great to hear any other thoughts on this issue.
