Hi ntb91

Your topic is not locked. You can reply in either of the topics you have started.  :)

We move all topics that we are waiting for the member to the Quarantine Board whilst we wait for them to register their Lumion license.

In your earlier September topic, Morten also requested you register (add) your Lumion license to your Support Center Account as you stated you are using version 8.0.

You have already added the public Trial version 7.5 to your Account, good, but seen as you are using V8 (a commercial release), you also need to add that one too.

That is part of the terms for providing official Lumion Support here at the Support Center.  See How do you get technical support?

[Awaiting license registration] How to create a dichroic glass

Hello again, Borislav.

I can see that you have now applied for a Lumion 7.5 Trial License Key. However, you mentioned that you were using Lumion 8.0 in your other topic, so before we proceed, please follow the instructions in step 2 in the article below to register the Lumion 8.0 License Key:

Knowledge Base Article: How do you get technical support?

Thanks in advance.

Do you need help in adding your license to your Account?

TIP:    If you are working for a company, you can use the License Key for one or multiple staff members, as a way to get full access to the forum.  You get access to the Commercial Users Forum section, and we provide full support to users in that section.

All that you need to do is to ask the person who manages the license keys at your company to go to your Account settings and enter one of the license keys. You will then have full access to the forum.

Or they can contact us at [email protected] with the License Key details and or purchase receipt so we can help in the (simple) process to register (add) your license to your Account.

Are there any problems in doing that?

Hi Peterm,
Thank you for your reply. I have no longer access to the workstation with Lumion 8 version because of job switch. I still have not finished the project(freelance) I need the dichroic glass for so I applied for 7.5 trial. My current company does not use Lumion and I'm not ready to buy it at the moment.

Is there any way you can help?

Thanks.

Hi

That sounds a bit of a tricky situation.

You do realize that versions are not backwards compatible, so it is not possible to transfer a Lumion V8 Scenes back to V7.

Also V7.5 is a trial and the terms and conditions are not for commercial work. Plus it also has a watermark.

I would suggest talking to the place you worked/contracted to, and if they want the project finished, then surely they will make the necessary resources available to you, which would include Lumion V8 and registering for official Lumion support.

ps: why were you using version 8.0 and not version 8.3 or v8.5?

Well, I think you misunderstood me. The project is personal, not commercial. Also I have the model in sketchup and the scene contains three materials. Brushed aluminium, wood and dichroic glass. I need to achive the effect of the glass so I can see how it will work because I have to order it internationally.

It says Lumion 8 on your website, not 8.3 or 8.5 so I thought you need the main number?

I see.

Hi Morten,
I use Lumion 8.0.

As I understand
Quote
I still have not finished the project(freelance) I need the dichroic glass for so..
you were using Lumion 8 for that project.  But now you are not doing that project, but you will be ordering the glass for the project which was for a company whilst you were on contract.

Sorry but your conversation is contradictory.

The features supported in version 8 can be different from those in the trial v7.5.

I have no belief at this stage that you had a valid license.  We are of course more than happy to help (legitimate) users of the trial and those with questions of Lumion, especially if it is in evaluation to purchasing Lumion.

Have you looked through our Knowledge Base articles?

As this is the official Lumion Support Center we provide primary support to our valued customers.  Occasionally we are asked questions from people that have not used a valid license, and they risk or are banned so that we protect our customers.

So sorry, but you will be banned.  If you believe this ban should be lifted you can contact us via email at [email protected]

I am doing the same project. Its for my home. I don't know how you cannot understand me that it was not company project but personal.

And I am not that dumb to ask for help on official forum without valid licence.

However, thanks for your time. Bye.

But you were using version 8 on a project for a company as freelance (contractor).

Sorry we can't be of help this time.  Perhaps once you have a valid license we will be more than happy to help.
