In windows 7, go to C:\users\my documents\lumion\and copy all of the scene and library folder information into the same directory on your new machine.  If you don't want to overwrite the folders in their entirety, you will need to grab all of the library files for each imported object in the scene (4 per object) as well as the scenes (2 files) you want as well.  They are looking into the ability to save the files in different locations, but that is not a possibility as of yet.  You should regularly backup these folders, i do it after each project is complete.

This is very sensible. As an example, the thumbnails of your imported objects can easily get messed up if you accidentally open them in the old Lumion SP1 (they basically turn dirt brown), since objects imported in SP2 aren't 100% compatible with SP1.

As Lumion (since B6?/B7?) can display Library and Scene files in separate categories re numbers 1 to 9 top of Object or Scene Library viewer window, you can maintain any specific project files within sub-folders of the main Lumion\Scenes and Lumion\Library folders.  Then all you need do is copy those specific sub-folders.  Note theres only 9 subs available for Library Objects. This may make it just that little bit easier in transfering to another PC.

You just need to move the files specific to a project from the Library and Scene root folders into their respective sub-folders after they are first created (after closing Lumion).  For example, if you import a house you could place that in \HouseProject01 subfolder (using Windows Explorer) and also have a Scene project sub-folder called HouseProject01 for the Scene files.  A little bit of mucking around, but it at least lets you do more controlled file management than was case earlier on.  As Brian mentioned, they are looking at more/better file management approaches.

Hi Peter, Lumion is currently only able to display custom Library sub-folders as "1-9" tabs, not custom Scene sub-folders.

Excerpt from ChangeList.txt (Service Pack 2, Build 6):
- Imported objects in Documents/Lumion/Library can now be placed in manually created folders.

Hopefully there will be a better file management system in future versions of Lumion.

Woops, sorry.  Library only for viewing the folders using the 1 to 9. (corrected my prior post).

It's still possible though (correct me if wrong), for project and file management to have separate Scene folders, all shown in the 1 Load Tab, and store the Scene .spr .spv files into their own folders and Lumion will read all sub-folders of the root \Scene folder to construct the Load list thumbnails.

Yes, that's correct.
