While you're moving a model, Lumion basically checks where the insertion point of the model snaps to nearby surfaces.
So if you're importing your own bed model, you need to make sure that the insertion point is in a meaningful place. Typically that would be at one end of the bed on the floor (behind the pillows).
So how do make sure that insertion point is in that sort of area? Well, the insertion point is basically 0,0,0 in your 3D modelling application, so you'll need to place the bed accordingly and then export it to Lumion.
