I just had to watch a 25 minute Lumion movie that had to be playing at a bitrate of 1,000,000 bits/sec using Windows Media Player, which probably made it a 30+ minute movie.

Please never do this.

TV shows typically run 21-23 minutes, and include plots, acting, special effects, etc... I don't know how I am supposed to pay attention to a half hour long video with no sound playing at like 70% speed. Hell, I lose focus after about 5 minutes of a quality Lumion video.

So just remember folks, when it comes to camera shots, quality over quantity. You don't have to show every single trash can and flower in the entire model. Powerful shots that people will remember, not all inclusive shots that cover every square inch of a project from multiple angles.

Sorry, no it was a file, not online. I talked to the people who made it though. Apparently there was an issue with the graphics card having a really low benchmark resulting in a render time that wouldn't fit their deadline. So the video was screencaptured from theater mode. They have a new video card in the mail, and are going to redo the movie with rendering and a reduced 5 minute play time.

+1 Jared!

I usually start with some interesting sequences, mix them later in the right direction and get rid of some clips. Depending on the project you can have a goodpresentation between 2-5 minutes max!
And please mix the sound to make it fit the video! :D

That would be some kind of record......and it would stand for some time. A person would need to have his eyes stitched open......no other way man.

I agree and disagree at times. I usually stay between 3 to 5 max. but if the client wants the animation longer than I have to comply as they are paying the bill. I like to show the whole project as I would be walking thru the building and the grounds. I am learning that short clips that show these areas are just as presentable.

Some clients are different in the fact that they will be presenting the animation in front of a audience or it will be on a tv clip for the local news, so I don't include any sound at all.
