I checked the FAQ hardware requirements from earlier this year, lumion recommends that you use the nvidia gtx 980 Ti, I was wondering if I could get the same performance from the Nvidia GTX 1070?

Hi timmichel

Yes, that would be fine.  Any card that is close to or exceeds the Passmark performance value is suitable.

The GTX 1070 the Passmark is 11476 compared to the GTX 980 Ti of 11523. So they are very comparable.

The GTX 1070 also has an extra 2GB of graphics memory, so that's also a plus.

We also recommend comparing card performance with the type of Scenes you will be wanting to create.  Refer our Knowledge Base Article: Which graphics card do you need?
