Regarding Vertex color variation,
how is that more superior to the lumion color variation,
doesn't it do the same thing , but  easier and faster ?

No BABE... It's completely different, and way more realistic. :-D
With vertex colours [VC] you can specify a colour for EVERY vertex in your model. Lumion is only blending a colour with your original maps over the entire model. With vertex colour you can have more realism such as- new leaves being a lighter green colour and old leaves being yellow, etc, etc. VC is VERY widely used in game engines & has been for years & years. You can even have other vertex channels that carry other info such as lighting or alpha data.
I just wish that Lumion could use vertex colours at some stage in the future :)

Cheers
Jamie
