Hello everyone, Im doing a heavy model animation, and I really need to have lots of trees, Im using a windows 7 with a 16gb RAM and an Nvidia Geforce  560ti. The problem is that I put the trees in the model, but when I start to render de animation, the sky is weir, its black and not as it should be. If anyone can help, ill appreciate it, thanks.

What star are you rendering in?

Have you tried Settings --> Low Mem Mode?

How many trees? 1000's?

The amount of polygons won't really matter it's the resolutoin of textures for your model that may affect things.  If your using lots of high res textures then maybe cut them back, this frees some memory usage on the GPU to then allow other things to render.  Doesn't take long to go through a dozen or so textures and rescale and then re-load your model and save a few 100MB or so of GPU mem. No guarantee as there maybe other things affecting.

Also, does the black sky occur if you have shut down Lumion and then render from a clean start?

The black sky issue was mentioned on the forum about a year back now, so there may be some more hints, search forum.

We have experienced this sky problem. Peterm is spot on, use low memory setting and restart regularly especially before rendering. Finally watch out for the saving bug in this version see bugs in forum, this will be sorted in next release.

Hi arielballesteros, are you using the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of Windows 7?
