I've had a few times where I had to go back into Sketchup to make some material/texture changes.
Then I reload in Lumion and about 90% of the model textures reload correctly. There are always 2 or 3 textures that get messed up and they are completely wrong.
Example: In sketchup I changed the texture of a pool wall and also erased a water texture.... Afterwards, I reloaded the updated collada file into lumion....the new pool wall texture showed up fine, but the texture for my fence turned into water and the texture for a house wall reverted back into its original texture and lost the changes I had made to that material in lumion.
I think when you re-export from your modeling program, some textures get re-numbered and Lumion seems to get confused and re-loads some things incorrectly.
How can one avoid this mix-up when re-loading? Its a real time waster.
