unable to make movie

I've been using the free version of Lumion (since version 1) and haven't been able to make movies. Even a 10 second movie isn't possible. The "time lef't" indcator varies from 2 hours to 500 hours. After leaving it render for two days straight, a 10 second test movie hasn't progressed form it's strating point. I must be doing something wrong, since my system (quadcore extreme, 16 Gb ram, Quadro 3700M) should handle this.

Hi Andrew,

I'm guessing Background rendering is turned on? If so, please read the information about Background rendering in the following thread:

Excerpt from the Tips, Tricks and Shortcuts thread:
http://lumion3d.com/forum/f-a-q/lumion-2-tips-tricks-and-shortcuts/

Background rendering mode: This mode requires that you wait for the first frame to finish rendering before you switch to other windows. Also, avoid clicking on the Show Desktop button in the lower right corner of Windows. This will momentarily reset the exposure in Lumion which means that the video has to be rendered from scratch again.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your graphics card was released almost exactly 4 years ago, and it doesn't meet the minimum requirements for Lumion, so there are no guarantees that you will be able to render anything other than the simplest of scenes.
