Topic: Trouble installing Demo

I've downloaded the demo and the installation stalls at the same point.  Thee's no indication of progress.  I've let it sit while it reads "Please wait" almost 20 minutes, and nothing.  Below is a screen shot of where it stalls.  I'm also curios of the negative percentage number shown.

Looks like something is blocking the Download Manager from either maintaining a connection to get the files and start the process, or in getting and starting to save the files locally.

What AV software are you using?  Please check and ensure it is not blocking access to the download.lumion3d.com domain. 

Try using the 'Run As Administrator' (mouse right click) on the download manager exe.

Also, check that there is sufficient free harddisk space.

I thought that too.  My IT checked and nothing is being blocked.

I'm using Symantic AV, all the logs are clear

I've also tried 'Run as Administrator', did the same thing.

I have almost 500g available hard disk.

Any other thoughts?

Hmmm, just about exhausts the list.

Send me by email a zipped copy of (just) the Demo Download Manager, and I'll test it here:  peterm [at] act-3d.com.

Hi dapillsburyjr, there's essentially still something that's blocking access for the Download Manager on your network.

As a workaround, would it be possible to download the Demo version on a PC outside this network, and then transfer the installation files to the PC you would like to install it on?

I'll try a download outside the network.  Would another workaround be having you email a zip to me? Or, would that net the same result?

Hi dapillsburyjr, the demo version is too large to send via email but do let us know if you can't download it on a different PC.

We could probably upload it to a filehost website such as wetransfer.com if all else fails.
