Hello Lumion Team,

i think this has been mentioned before ( but the forum search function didnt find it .. i think the search function doesnt find anything at all - does it even work at all ? )
but transparencies are a must have for materials.

will this be implemented to lumion in the "near" future or is it not possible to implement ?

Transparencies are very difficult to pull of. We won't do this in the near future but alternative solutions might be good enough. For example we could add a transparency setting to layers so you can blend one layer 50% with the layer underneath.

how do you achieve the alpha masking with all the speed-tree-vegetation ?
it looks far better than black invisible and white visible.

couldnt this be a way for transparency ? support of real png-textures.
so if i want to have 50 % transparent white i will create a white png texture with 50 % alpha value ?

but it wouldnt be that easy ?

i have seen in another thread that the new 3d people can have transparencies ?
couldnt this be used for materials too ?

It's a technical issue but what we could do for example is to assign a transparency to a layer so you can have one layer blended on top of the other.

For a horizon map I think we should include a specialized function so you can easily create an environment cube or horizon map.
