Tip for cinema4D users and question about clip plane

Hello !

First of all i wanted to share a very bad experience i had exporting from C4D to lumion: I was working on a workstation that crashed (big crash: unable to rescue win7 so i just get my work from the HD and switched to another  workstation...).
Everything was fine till there except that when i modified my work in C4D, exported it and reloaded it in Lumion it was just not working anymore with the huggests parts of my model.
I spent one day trying 1 million things but nothings worked UNTIL...

I updated my C4D version AND now it's working fine....  what a pity and a lose of freetime.
morality: Always keep your software updated !

And now my question: I have played with the clip plane object and it's really cool to do model cutouts ... but i was wondering if i can animate it because my trys to do it went wrong ?

Thanks for sharing - sounds like a pretty hair-raising situation but you survived (hopefully without loss of data) and even improved your pipeline in the process!

Sure, here's how to use it:

1) Add a Lights & Special Objects -> Utilities -> Clip Plane object to your scene.

2) Go to the Movie section and create a clip.

3) With the clip selected, add a Basic Animation effect or Advanced Animation effect.

4) Animate the clip plane as you wish.
