lol no (I hope)! It was just some kind of joke because Autodesk buys a lot of companies out.
But in my experience if people annouce something big or fundamental changes they either get bought out by another company or change a lot in their product philosophy. Mostly it gets more expensive for their customers.
If I'm about to stick a bit in the dark I only could think of Lumion3 as a technology upgrade with tweaks and enhancements in existing features or skip the yearly upgrade cycle. We got indoor and we got outdoor things now. Mostly its up to the artist doing good assets for the tool.
The tool itself could improve only with changes in UI, and improvements on existing stuff like better terrain handling, better reflections and so on.
